If you’ve looked into fishing destinations in Northwestern Ontario, Rousseau’s Landing gives you the fishing quality. You drive to the front gate, park your rig, and start fishing that afternoon.

RV Sites includes a full electrical hookup, a clean water connection, and grey water access at your site. Your own picnic table is there when you arrive. Pull in, set up, grab a rod, and you’re on Sandbar Lake before dinner.

Sandbar Lake holds strong populations of Walleye and Northern Pike throughout the season. If you want to broaden your fishing, we have boats cached on more than a dozen surrounding lakes — each one offering a different experience. Details on which lakes are available and what’s included are on our Fishing Packages page.

The water at your hookup is clean and fresh — something you’ll appreciate right away, especially if you’ve been driving a long way. If you need the dump station, Sandbar Provincial Park has one about 3 kilometres from camp.

Quiet hours start at 11:00 p.m., check-in is at 2:00 p.m., and checkout for campsites is at 10:00 a.m. The crowd here is other anglers, families, and hunters — people who came for the same reason you did.

When you imagine finally finding that drive-to fishing destination that actually lives up to what the photos promised — what does a perfect first morning on the water look like for you?
