Ignace Fire Department Saves The Day

We want to thank the amazing team from the Ignace Fire Department and the MNR Forest Rangers and water bombers who’s fast action saved all destruction to guest trailers and cabins.

We are still without power and internet, so we’ll update this post and our YouTube Channel as we can provide more videos and photos.

The fire near Rousseau’s Landing was part of the Sandbar Lake area wildfire north of Ignace.

The blaze prompted an evacuation and Highway 599 closures near Ignace/Silver Dollar.

We are disappointed that our guests had their fishing interrupted but so grateful the evacuation went smoothly.

No Fish Were Harmed

Good news for next week’s guests – no fish were harmed (caught) this week so there’s still plenty of spring fishing for everyone who is planning to arrive next week.
